Bastardization of the English language aside, does anyone else occasionally find their entire day has gone by under the timesink that is gaming? What are you playing/what have you played and had an opinion about? Excited about any upcoming releases? Anything make you raeg? Want to discuss some ending? Don't forget spoiler warnings.
As of right now I've been playing Minecraft. It's so stupid but so fun, and pretty much any computer can run it. I've got a 360, upon which I maintain the status of 'Valve Fangirl' with both up-to-date L4Ds as well as the Orange Box, and have a rabid adoration of the first (and only, shut up that other one was a farce) Bioshock. I've got a larger game library than that but rambling too much is bad. I've also been wanting to play Amnesia; The Dark Descent, but alas, my shit laptop would combust.

Gaming makes my life worthwhile. For now, my current obsessions are:
-Mass Effect 2-- Wonderful graphics, awesome story line. Best single player RPG on the market.
-Metroid-- Hey, come on, it's awesome. This game had the first female protagonist ever in video game history... Unless I'm mistaken. And the entire series is righteous. Except Other M. That was a disappointing game.
-Portal-- I've completed it over 9,000 times. It's amazing.
-Mirror's Edge-- Despite the bright eyeburning colors, it has amazing music and a storyline to match the interesting ambient environment and fast-paced chases.
...And now for the things that have made me RAEG.
-*A BIT OF A SPOILER WARNING HERE FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T PLAYED/COMPLETED ME2* When I first played ME2 I didn't know that your choices could affect who lives and who dies. 3/4 of my team died. I wanted them all to live. (Next I am going to try and work towards the ending where EVERYONE dies including Commander Shepard... I've never done it before.)
-I had to spend a week figuring out like, half the puzzles on Portal when I first played it.
-When I bought Metroid: Zero Mission from Amazon many many months ago, the dude who sold it to me claimed it was in wonderful condition. When I got it, I found out the copy he sold me was CORRUPTED. I couldn't save it. The data got corrupted every time and I had to reset it. Instead I had to hog the DS Lite charger for a few days to keep it running constantly, and I wouldn't have to start over. But this totally messed up my hours of gametime, so I only unlocked the pic of Samus in full Gravity Suit armor. Lame.

I just finished Golden Sun Dark Dawn and while it was easy for a GS veteran like myself, the storyline is just as deep and amazing as usual.
I'm going to replay the first one once I get my DSLite back since I ragequit several years ago and lost my copy. Let's do this one right!
(And who is gonna get Pokemon Black/White because we need to get some friendcodes going when it comes out.)

The way I see it, it can either be amazing, or kill the reputation of a game that didn't really need a sequel (coughlikeBioshockcough). Apparently Valve wrote something like 18,000 lines of dialog for the game, and that worries me. Also as far as Zero Mission, you could just get an emulator and run it. VBA works great, and I played Fusion on it. I have Zero Mission, but I also have the original Metroid on my NES fossil, and that game made me raeg, so I never really got into it.

Pokemon. OH SWEET SATAN pokemon. It's crazy, man. I have them nicknamed (Feste the Politoed ftw) and I'm building my team up in SS. Can't wait for BW Though, I need a Houndoom to replace my Ninetales.... Rambling. Sorry.
It's really the only video game I play constantly.
I used to love the Chao raising thing on Sonic Adventure 2 and DX. :3

My thoughts on Portal 2? Well, honestly, it can go both ways. It could be a wonderful game that people will talk about for years, or like you said, it could ruin what Portal was and make me cry in the corner. I personally think that Wheatley was a good and bad idea. Good because he it has a unique personality that makes me smile, and bad because since Wheatley will be with you from what I've learned, and that sort of ruins the whole concept from the last game where you get the feeling of being all alone, yet being watched. It was originally scheduled to come out six days before my birthday. Now it's coming out way in April, 'cause Valve rescheduled it. Dammit. Yeah, I could. I've thought about it. My nerd friend righteous Metroid-god of a friend (he's completed Fusion in 30 minutes ;_____;) told me I should get an emulator. And you've played Fusion? Haven't met many people who have. It's my favorite. I don't understand why it makes so many Metroid fans angry. Is it because the computer tells you what to do so much? Or because of the ending? And on the topic of the original Metroid: HOLY EFF THAT IS TOO HARD. NO MAP. NO MAP AT ALL. AND SAMUS' CANNON ONLY SHOOTS LIKE 6 FEET./raeg I'll let you know that I've never completed the original Metroid. >>; I need maps to survive. If I don't have a map, I just get lost, and lose all my health to the stupid bugs. I've only completed MP3, Zero Mission, and Fusion. I disregard the fact that I still have MP1, and MP2, because: -Dark Samus is a mary sue. -Dark Samus is a mary-sue. And lastly, Dark Samus is a mary sue. |:U ...Plus I don't like them anyway. Oh, and I have Other M, but I don't like that game. I WASTED 50 bucks on that. Too cinematic, the voice they chose for Samus sucked, and the Ridley evolution thing made no sense. As my older sister quotes: "It's like Nintendo tried waaaay too hard to look mysterious." And WTH is up with making Samus' power suit a) have large shoulders when only her Varia and Gravity suit actually do, and b) MAKE HER SUIT SO DAMN SHINY IN THAT GAME.

We're on Valve-time. Half-Life Episode 3? What even IS that? I liked Fusion a lot, aside from that one awful suit colorscheme. Also, since I emulated it, it was fullscreen and the X-Samus scared the fuck out of me every time. ._. And I can't really explain the hate on Fusion, since I'm not even close to a hardcore fan XD Though my Metroid-crazed friend was the one who recommended it to me in the first place. So I'unno. I thought it was immensely fun. I was loaned MP1 and 2 from a friend in exchange for Assassin's Creed 2 and [Prototype]. And he's not returning them until I beat both of his games, but I just CANNOT get into them. I'm awful at exploring, and also living. From what I gather, the fucking up on Other M was due to giving the production to Team Ninja, known for their masterpeice ' Dead or Alive' series So, you know, they have a comprehensive understand of battle-hardened women and were perfect choices to characterize Samus. >_> For more information, here's my favorite game critic on the subject

AH I KNOOOOW. Valve is great at delaying everything. And yes, blue with yellow and a magenta/red is just... tacky. Her suit didn't look good until the very end again. And on the topic of SA-X... Yes. I couldn't beat it myself because I got so scared, so I handed it over to my Metroid-god friend and he beat it for me. When the SA-X just formed into that... that giant... THING... -huddles up into a feeble position- Eeeeuuuggh. e______e After I did complete the game, I got scared for several nights that SA-X was gonna come into my room at night and kill me. -shot- Same here; I can't get into Prime 1 and Prime 2. Too much exploration, too much backtracking. After I killed the Parasite Queen in Prime 1, I just sorta stopped playing-- wait, no, actually after I took out the War Wasp hive. I got sick of all the stupid wasps and quit. I mean, COME ON. After you leave the room and then come back, the wasps respawn. Over and over. I was pretty angry to find out that Team Ninja would be making it. I was MUCH happier when I knew that Retro Studios would be making Prime 3 several years back-- but Team Ninja making Other M? The company known for making double-D-size women in all of their games with anime eyes that are still great warriors, which I don't understand? No. They butchered what Samus was. They made her panic and be all "AMG VULNERABLE" when she saw Ridley-- which I can understand because she has PTSD and just killed him in Super Metroid-- but still. Did she really need to make a scene, even though she's killed Ridley over 9,000 times in the past? He's in every single game. And all the sudden she has an emotional breakdown when encountering him. In previous Metroid games, Samus is a tough intergalactic somewhat-freelance ass-kicker who won't take other people's crap. She lets her arm cannon do the talking. In Other M, Samus is a boring overly-emotional woman, who, all of the sudden, decides to take orders from Adam Malkovich, despite the fact that she HATES taking orders and is sorta supposed to do what SHE wants.

You guys really should get Steam. I have: Team Fortress 2 Garry's mod L4D2 Just Cause on it, however I do also own ME2 which is a truely awsome game. Steam is a program where you can hold all of your computer games. It is also connected to the internet, so playing online is really easy and simple. My brother just bought an Xbox 360, and I've been glued to Red Dead Redemption. Words cannot describe how awsome this game is.

Haha, I love all of those games you've listed. xD They're great. <333 And I usually don't even like shooters, lol. I love the grappling hook that defies the laws of physics. You can do anything with that. I got a ps3 about a month ago, and Modnation Racers is really fun. :3 But, to be honest, I'm a WoW nerd at heart. ; ^ ; Two 85's, a couple of toons in the 60-75 range, and then 3 level 50-55 characters, xD

I'm a PC gamer (mostly because besides my PS2, I don't own any consoles), though haven't had the time to game these past few weeks. Ahwell. My games list would consist out of: Bioshock 1 and 2, though I was deepy disappointed with the second game and felt betrayed by the weak story.. Anyway.. I'm also quite the fan of Doom. All of 'em. I kinda grew up with them so they mean a lot to me, same with Wolfenstein. I also own the Orange Box with all its glorious games, as well as Gmod and L4D and L4D2. My non FPS games would be the Penumbra Trilogy and my new addition, Amnesia: The Dark Descent.
Amnesia's a wonderful game, really, I can do nothing but recommend it to everyone. I fell in love with the physics system in Penumbra and just had to get Amnesia. Shat quite a few bricks during gameplay. :u

But I abhor almost all consoles Guild Wars + Expansions The Sims 3 + all Expansion & Stuff Packs Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 (Only have steam for L4D2) Spore Oblivion Need for speed MySims Kingdom Sacred Gold Sacred 2 Harry Potters Plants Vs Zombies Unreal Pikmin and MySims Kingdom on the wii . . . those are just the ones I play frequently xD I dont have a life, as you can see. I also have pokemon on the DS, but that was given to me as a gift, and I've barely played it since HG/SS came out xD . . . waiting on B&W
