What are some of your favourite books? What book are you reading now? Any suggestions for other people? Comments about books you just read?
Share them all here, on the book thread - the thread all about books.
I'm just bought the third book, Bloodrose, in the Nightshade series! I can't wait to read it, but I've got a few other books to read first -_-'

The Hobbit is an amazing book. The Hunger Games series—although I personally don't like the last one—are very good. Night by Elie Wiesel is alright, although it's a bit depressing. I'll probably be back Edit- Oh, I forgot about The Lovely Bones! That's a really good one.

I'm currently reading 'Steampunk!' By Kelly Link. It's pretty good so far, but it's just a bunch of short stories.

The Griffin Mage trilogy by Rachel Neumeier. I've only read the first one so far, but it's pretty good. Rogue Mage series by Faith Hunter. The Marked series by S.J. Day.

World War Z - if you like zombies. An Irish Country Doctor - it's actually pretty good, I read it over Christmas. Any Dragonlance book - I'm reading Lords of the Sword and Crown now. I love most dragonlance books but I adore high fantasy, so...
I also loved the Hunger Games. ^^

Hmm, currently I've read quite many books and some of them that I would suggest to everyone is the books by Dave Pelzer. Even though the books make me cry^^' Currently reading A Man Named Dave. Will most likely read all books by Dave Pelzer that I can get my hands on. Other books I like reading is anything by Stephen King. I also love the books by Robin Hobb, especially The Farseer trilogy, I just continue to read them over and over againXP
Oh and since Hekomi mentioned high fantasy, can someone explain the difference between fantasy and high fantasy? I've never understood the difference^^'

Personally, I love any Dragonriders of Pern books by Anne McCaffrey. <3 I've read most of them - though, I haven't read any of the new ones that her son has done.
A newer series I've been reading is the Mistborn trilogy by Brandon Sanderson. Very well done.
And of course, the Harry Potter books. XD Big surprise there. Lol

I've never been a novel person. I love non-fiction books on more macabre subject matter or sociology.
My current reading is Raven, which is a thorough history of the Jonestown cult written by a journalist who survived a shooting by cult members that took the life of a congressman.

High fantasy is like the LOTR, Dragonlance, etc. Own world, elves, dwarves, magic, that sort of thing. ^^ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_fantasyThat might explain it better.

Readin the Hunger Games right now. adfasdf it's so good so far.
I'm also a bit of a fan of Stephen King. I've just finished the Shining, actually n.n Never should have told my annoying as fuck little cousin though. Next time she sneaks up behind me and screams "REDRUM" at the top of her lungs, she's getting a punch in the throat.
