Internet explorer help

Well, I had no idea were to put this thread so if it's in the wrong place please remove it.

So my explorer have been driving me insane since I got my laptop back. In the bar were the internet adress is written it shows both my history and favorites, I only want my last visited sites to show up there, but I can't figure out how to remove history and favorites>_>
So is there anyone who can help me out with this?

What I found was this:

Click Tools – Internet Options. Then click the Content tab. Where it says Auto Complete click Settings, and uncheck browsing history and favorites.
