Hey everyone, this topic is really random and unimportant. But I'm just curious and was wondering if any of you could figure this out. It's not really an issue, but— well, I'll just get to the point. I recently got an iPhone (yay!) and haven't gotten many chances to use the camera. Now I know that their quality isn't the greatest but I don't mind. So when I saw how bright the moon was tonight when I let my dogs out, I had to go outside and snap a photo. But when I did, this weird little purple circle showed up in it: >>photo 1So I snapped a few more photos, moving a little each time for a new angle to see if it was just a light thing (but they all look like the same position XD). I have 5 pictures total (and could get more probably if I needed them), but it's just really weird because I don't see anything purple without the camera (obviously haha). Since I didn't get many different views I managed to get a picture from inside my house through a window. (There is a yellow/white circle near the moon in this one, it's just because of the glare.) >>photo 2So, anyone think they know what it is? It's not any kind of glare I don't think because it shows up in all five pictures and in the frame before snapping the photo. Hmm...some googling makes me wonder if it's related to this sensor business: discussions.apple.com/message/7598226?messageID=7598226&tstart=0Or my first suspicion: that it's a dead pixel area: photo.stackexchange.com/questions/8902/purple-spots-in-my-shotsHave you tried taking photos of anything else? Did that dot still show up?

They all look like lens flare to me. Like Ranlur said, does the purple dot show up on photos of anything else?

Thanks, Ranlur! That looks like the problem I'm having. To answer your questions, Ran and DL, I didn't try after that so when I saw your posts I decided to go check. I didn't really know if you meant inside or outside photos, so I just took a picture of each of my dogs inside first. (And I apologize if the pictures are small or weird or anything, like I said I'm on mobile so I don't know what the full site looks like x3) dog 1dog 2Like I said I didn't know if you mean inside or outside, so I decided to take a picture outside. I didn't know what of, so I just did a tree in my backyard. XD yay treeAnd then it hit me that maybe the dot would still show up right now? So here is a picture in the same (or close to) position as last night: same positionAs you can see, the dot that I saw last night is still there, but now it just looks like a little sun. XD There is also another small pinkish dot behind the clouds (which really screams glare now ). I'm just happy it's not in all my pictures. :3

More then likely it is due to this topic being over a year old and the images may have been deleted sense then?
