Okay so here's the thing. This sounds like a pretty rad idea - there's a livejournal community for similar purposes. And lord knows I need a place to bitch.
But I'm still wary of ranting. Because the thing is, a lot of people on CS are NOT OKAY with being ranted about, they just can't handle the fact that people might not like them and can't accept the fact that they could ever do anything wrong. I feel like regardless of where we do our ranting, gossiping, etc, it will always end up being dragged through other topics on CS with people running around like "OMG someone over on skinless chicken said I was a meanie" (Just like they drag up things from the rant threads like "OMG some one over on the trade rant thread said this about me!") and then all of their little friends will run around being little bitches about it as well. And while you can set down rules and regulations here about being a butthurt whiner, you can't control the backlash that will happen all over CS. Which will just get even more obnoxious...
Thoughts?

I added a "Don't drag it back to CS" rule. Basically, pretend we're Fight Club.
Okay so here's the thing. This sounds like a pretty rad idea - there's a livejournal community for similar purposes. And lord knows I need a place to bitch. I'm behind the LJ community. I made this simply because of the lack of reception, partially because many people on CS don't use LJ.
But I'm still wary of ranting. Because the thing is, a lot of people on CS are NOT OKAY with being ranted about, they just can't handle the fact that people might not like them and can't accept the fact that they could ever do anything wrong. The difference between here and CS is you can name names here. CS you can't. And if people fly off the handle at the fact that someone doesn't like their shitty attitude and art theivery I'd like to see them try to defend it.
I feel like regardless of where we do our ranting, gossiping, etc, it will always end up being dragged through other topics on CS with people running around like "OMG someone over on skinless chicken said I was a meanie" If they're not willing to face us here, then they're a coward. And if they're running around CS not facing up to their problems, they're a bigger coward than I thought. I honestly don't forsee this being a problem, maybe a mention but not whole threads.
(Just like they drag up things from the rant threads like "OMG some one over on the trade rant thread said this about me!") and then all of their little friends will run around being little bitches about it as well. Got a quote or screenshot? I haven't heard of any problems coming from the CS rant threads.
And while you can set down rules and regulations here about being a butthurt whiner, you can't control the backlash that will happen all over CS. Which will just get even more obnoxious... If it becomes a problem on CS or Tess tells me to knock it off, the forum will go away. That easy.
I may be the admin here, but really the fate of the forum is in the behavior of the members, Tess, and Nick. If a few whiny dipshits can't face the fact they've been called on tracing wolves for profit, maybe they shouldn't be doing it in the first place.
From what I've noticed of other drama communties (particularly Subeta Drama) is that at most it will get a passing mention, but it won't spill out onto the main site.
Harassment either from the drama llama or the members here will be met with punishment. I don't condone that.

The Guide has turned into a little clique, it's kind of disappointing how now it seems like the lunch table the popular kids sit at and how it's near to impossible for anyone else to get in without presenting fanart. I'm no longer on the guide. Mostly because everytime I get on there, it's a spam fest, an argument, or someone is whining and holding a pity party because they're depressed and CS hates them for some reason or the other.

there's way too much drama there, and it spills over into all other parts of the forum, as well as other websites.
